Ex-gang leader ‘Keffe D’ found guilty of killing rap legend Tupac Shakur

Duane "Keffe D" Davis, 63, has been found guilty of murdering rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas in 1996, marking the first conviction in the case that has intrigued hip-hop fans for decades. The jury deliberated for less than three hours after a week-long trial, convicting Davis on charges of murder with a deadly weapon. If found guilty, he is likely to receive a life sentence.

The jury heard testimony from 24 prosecution witnesses and three defense witnesses over nine days. Shakur was shot in a white Cadillac alongside Shakur's vehicle at a traffic signal on 7 September 1996, and died six days later. Davis' nephew was beaten up earlier that night, which Davis claimed was the reason for his involvement in the shooting.

However, his defense attorney argued that there was no evidence Davis had ordered the attack. The conviction has reignited interest in the case, which has captivated true crime enthusiasts for years.
