Angels end 7-game slide with 10-1 win over sloppy Yankees behind Grissom and Ureña

Anaheim, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Angels put an end to their seven-game losing streak with a resounding 10-1 victory over the New York Yankees on Monday night. Vaughn Grissom drove in a team-high four runs, while rookie Walbert Ureña delivered seven innings of strong pitching. Mike Trout contributed with a two-run single, and Christian Moore added two more runs, bringing the Angels' offensive firepower to the forefront.

Ureña (9-9) struck out eight Yankees over the seven innings he pitched, allowing only five hits and no walks. Elmer Rodríguez, on the other hand, struggled mightily, giving up four hits and four runs in just 3 2/3 innings. The Yankees, who are currently three games ahead of Boston in the American League wild card chase, found themselves three games behind first-place Tampa Bay in the AL East.
