A-Plus narrowly escapes attack by angry New Winneba residents

Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Kwame Asare Obeng, widely recognized as A-Plus, narrowly avoided an attack by disgruntled New Winneba residents following a violent altercation in the community. Seeking detailed information on the incident that claimed three lives and injured 15 others, the MP traveled to Effutu North District Police Command. The violent clash seemingly stemmed from a land dispute involving residents from various Gomoa and New Winneba communities.

Upon arrival at the police command, A-Plus's presence evidently provoked the already agitated residents who had gathered. Security personnel were compelled to swiftly intervene and escort the MP away from the scene to avert further escalation. Additional personnel from the Central Regional Police Command and other security forces were subsequently deployed to ensure his safety and maintain order at the location.

Local residents, interviewed by Adom News, expressed their rage over the incident's circumstances and voiced concerns over the persistent tensions in the area.
