Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra could trade 5x zoom for a much bigger telephoto sensor

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra may trade its current 5x optical zoom telephoto camera for a larger 4x sensor, according to a new leak. This change would represent a significant shift from the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which features a 50MP 5x telephoto camera with a smaller 1/2.5-inch sensor. While a lower optical zoom may seem like a step back, the larger sensor could lead to improved image quality.
