Roland Europe Group appoints Opoku Sanaa as Head of Sales, Middle East & Africa

Roland Europe Group, the European headquarters of the global Roland Corporation, has appointed Ghanaian executive and musician Opoku Sanaa as Head of Sales for the Middle East and Africa, starting in September 2026. In a LinkedIn post, Sanaa expressed excitement about his new position with the company, stating, "I'm finally home."

In his new role, Sanaa will oversee Roland's commercial strategy and sales operations in the Middle East and Africa. He will collaborate closely with distributors, retail partners, educational institutions, religious institutions, and key industry stakeholders to bolster the company's market presence and drive sustained growth throughout the region.

With nearly two decades of international experience in sales leadership, business development, strategic planning, market expansion, and performance analysis, Sanaa is well-equipped for the challenge.

Prior to joining Roland Europe Group, Sanaa held senior commercial and leadership positions at renowned companies such as Yamaha Corporation, Isuzu Motors, and Daimler Truck. During his tenure, he focused on regional growth initiatives, pricing strategy, market development, and commercial performance in various international markets.

Sanaa holds an MBA from the University of Leicester in the UK and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies in Accra, Ghana. In his spare time, he is a distinguished author, creative entrepreneur, and professional bass guitarist. His book, Passion, Persistence & Progress – Make the Dream Work, delves into leadership, resilience, and purpose, drawing on lessons learned from both business and the creative industries.

Beyond his corporate career, Sanaa is a celebrated musician, having penned an award-winning music titled Passion, Persistence & Progress – Make the Dream Work. He was also recognized as Instrumentalist of the Year at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards. Sanaa's appointment to Roland Europe Group signifies the convergence of his two lifelong passions: business leadership and music.
