Punjab to Introduce AI Scanner for Early Cancer Detection

Punjab's Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has given preliminary approval for the implementation of an AI-driven multi-disease scanner in the province. The decision was made after a meeting with top executives from Chinese tech firm Alibaba. According to the briefing, the AI-powered Multi-Disease Screening Solution can potentially detect up to ten diseases in just two minutes using non-contrast CT scans.

The system aims to aid in the early detection of five potentially lethal cancers - pancreatic, liver, gastric, pancreatic, esophageal, colorectal, and liver cancers. Additionally, it can screen for Acute Aortic Syndrome, evaluate cardiovascular disease risks, and assess fat, muscle health, osteoporosis, and bone weakness. CM Maryam Nawaz expressed her keen interest in the system and directed provincial health authorities to prepare a pilot project for its introduction in Punjab.

The precise timing and location of the technology's initial deployment are yet to be determined, but further details will be released as the project advances.
