MAHA 2026 attracts 1.8 million visitors, records RM6m sales in three days

The Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026 witnessed a remarkable turnout, attracting 1.8 million visitors within its first three days, according to Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu. The exhibition, held at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang, also generated nearly RM6 million in sales during that period.

To accommodate the large influx of visitors, over 184,000 vehicles entered and exited the exhibition grounds, resulting in significant traffic congestion in the area.

The event aims to achieve sales of at least RM58 million, with crop seeds being a potential contributor to the total. In response to the surge in visitors, Mohamad Sabu announced that shuttle services have been increased and further improvements will be made based on requirements. The relevant committee meets daily to address complaints and identify solutions to ensure the event runs smoothly.

The heavy turnout can be attributed to various programs held throughout the exhibition, including MAHA Merdeka, which featured fireworks and drone shows in celebration of National Day. MAHA 2026, which runs from August 28 to September 6, features approximately 2,000 exhibitors and targets over four million visitors.
