Kemerdekaan sebenar tuntut pemikiran matang, etika, titah Raja Perlis

Raja Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, emphasized the importance of true independence, critical thinking, ethics, and speech during his address at the Perlis National Day celebration in Kangar. The King highlighted that a truly free people are those capable of intelligent and ethical thinking, and using their freedom responsibly.

He urged the people of Perlis, especially the younger generation, to continue pursuing knowledge, mastering new skills, building self-confidence, and upholding their religious and cultural heritage. The monarch stressed that knowledge without morality will not produce perfect individuals, while progress without integrity cannot guarantee lasting prosperity.

He called for a generation of educated, skilled, moral, and responsible individuals, ready to contribute to Perlis' and Malaysia's advancement. Raja Perlis, accompanied by Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, and Raja Permaisuri Perlis, Tuanku Tengku Fauziah Almarhum Tengku Abdul Rashid, urged all Perlis residents to continue using the Rukun Negara and national values as guidelines in their community life.

The King expressed his deep appreciation for the faith, respect, and love of the loyal and caring people, which have always been a strength in maintaining regional harmony. He emphasized that unity is a nation's strength, leading to security, stability, progress, and prosperity. True security is not something that comes by itself, but rather nurtured through unity.

The monarch hoped that the nation and state of Perlis would continue to be granted safety, wealth, stability, and eternal sovereignty, and that the Perlis people would be granted good health, blessings, a happy life, and complete unity.
