Karnataka Shocker: 'Drunk' Man Kills Friend For Eating More Chicken Pieces In Belagavi

Belagavi, Karnataka witnessed a shocking incident on Sunday when a man was stabbed to death by his friend over an argument about eating more chicken pieces. The victim, Seetharam, and the accused, Arun, both from Uttar Pradesh's Philibit, worked at the same steel company in Belagavi and shared a shed with a group of other workers.

On Sunday, a day off, the group consumed alcohol and prepared chicken together. During the meal, an altercation erupted after Seetharam questioned Arun about eating more chicken pieces. The dispute escalated quickly, with Arun grabbing a knife and stabbing Seetharam in the chest, according to NDTV.

Upon realizing the severity of the situation, Arun took Seetharam to Gokak Government Hospital. However, in a desperate attempt to cover up the incident and make it appear as an accident, Arun falsely claimed that Seetharam had fallen from a building. The police arrived at the hospital and arrested Arun for questioning. During interrogation, Arun confessed to the murder. Seetharam later passed away due to his injuries, and Arun was subsequently arrested.

A murder case has been registered, and the police are conducting a thorough investigation. This incident echoes a similar case from earlier in April in Kerala, where a 45-year-old man was allegedly killed by his nephew over a dispute over chicken curry. In both cases, liquor consumption and a heated meal argument preceded the violent confrontation.
