GCC Secretary General condemns in strongest terms Iranian aggression against UAE using drone

Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has harshly criticized the Iranian aggression targeting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a drone. The drone was intercepted by air defense systems operating over the UAE’s territorial waters. Albudaiwi declared that this attack represents a grave escalation and a blatant violation of the UAE’s sovereignty, security, and stability. He emphasized that it poses a direct threat to the safety of UAE citizens and residents.

In a statement released today, Albudaiwi emphasized the unity of GCC member countries in supporting the UAE in the face of any threat to its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He urged Iran to cease immediately such aggressive acts and to assume full responsibility for the consequences, which could jeopardize the security and stability of the entire region.
