Delhi Playschool Horror: 3-Year-Old Allegedly Tied To Chair, Kicked And Brutally Beaten; Attendant Arrested, 3 Others Under Probe

A three-year-old boy was allegedly subjected to severe abuse at a playschool in Maujpur, New Delhi. The child's father, Navneet Choudhary, lodged a complaint with the police after noticing physical injuries and behavioral changes in his son. Four individuals have been identified as suspects: the school's director, principal, a 30-year-old teacher, and the attendant.

The child's condition deteriorated rapidly, exhibiting visible bruises and swollen ears. His doctor suspected that he had been violently hit. The father took the boy to an ENT specialist, who expressed deep concern over the condition of the boy's eardrums, which were severely swollen and at risk of rupturing. The specialist advised immediate medical attention, including a CBC test and a CT scan.

Upon examining the child, the ENT doctor became furious, demanding information about the abuse. The school initially refused to provide the CCTV footage, citing technical difficulties. However, the next day, they demanded a fee of Rs 1,500 to view the recordings. After payment, the family was shown footage that allegedly showed the toddler being tied to a chair, kicked, and violently struck.

The alleged abuse occurred around 9:45 on the 18th, when the child was allegedly tied up from behind and subjected to continuous torture. Both of his ears were severely yanked, and he was repeatedly beaten.

The case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the Juvenile Justice Act, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is ongoing.
