UAE President establishes National Program for Advanced Sciences and Technologies

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, has witnessed the establishment of a groundbreaking initiative by its President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The National Program for Advanced Sciences and Technologies has been officially launched, aiming to intertwine education, research, development, and talent-building with the needs of strategic industries.

This comprehensive program seeks to forge an integrated national education and research system, bridging the gap between academia and strategic sectors, and fostering advancements in cutting-edge technologies.

The program's primary focus lies in nurturing national talent, enhancing industrial capabilities, and bolstering UAE's competitive edge in various sectors. By targeting priority specializations and empowering Emiratis in relevant fields, the program aspires to enhance the country's industrial prowess and foster national sovereignty in crucial areas.

To steer this ambitious endeavor, a Higher Committee has been formed, with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE and Deputy Prime Minister, taking the helm. Deputy Chairman Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with prominent ministers and experts, form the committee's core. Together, they will oversee the program's execution, ensuring seamless integration of education, research, development, and talent attraction.

An Executive Committee, chaired by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, will further supervise the program, approving its plans, policies, and initiatives. This well-structured coordination ensures effective implementation and timely progress towards the program's objectives.
