Banjir Nepal: Waris mangsa hilang diminta sedia jalani ujian DNA

Malaysia's foreign ministry has informed the country's war victims who are yet to be located following the recent flash floods and landslides in Nepal to prepare for DNA testing at the state's forensic laboratory starting tomorrow. Sivakumar Kalimuthu, 57, whose wife Kalai Mathe Karuppaiah, 57, is still missing, was informed about the necessity of the DNA test during a briefing at Wisma Putra today.

He explained that the police will contact them for the DNA test and he needs to gather three children for the procedure. Sivakumar added that his son is currently in Singapore, Kedah, and Selangor, and they are still sad and hopeful that the woman has been found safe. The last communication they received was a call from Kalai Mathe, who is a housewife, around 11 am on Tuesday.

She informed him that Malaysia-based tourists, including 17 people, wished to enter Kailash for prayers, after which there was no further communication. Earlier, the foreign ministry briefing informed the war victims from Malaysia yet to be located to prepare for DNA testing at the state's forensic laboratory starting tomorrow following a formal announcement.

This test will be used as a cross-reference for identity profiling to assist in identifying victims of the incident that occurred last Wednesday.
