국힘, 김승원 법무장관 지명에 “재판 취소 총대…국정테러 개각”

The Democratic United Party views the appointment of Kim Seung-won, a judge, as Ministry of Justice Minister by President Lee Myung-bak's six agency reshuffle as part of a "full-scale crackdown on the dismantling of public welfare," according to a statement from the party. Representative Dong-hyuk from the party posted on Facebook that President Lee has appointed a judge as Minister of Justice, stating it is "melting the constitutional review of the Minister of Justice."

Dong-hyuk emphasized that Kim was a former attorney for the "Dong Dong-sung case" and had been a joint leader of the "Constitution Dismantlement Committee" in the Democratic United Party. He also noted that the President has chosen career politicians for key ministries, including the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Transportation and Tourism, stating it is an acknowledgment that "economic policies and real estate policies will not be altered."

The party representative also described the appointment as a "full-scale dismantlement alert" and warned that the party is "concerned" about the "Constitution Dismantlement Special Investigation Act" and the potential "political amateur" approach to the issue.
