Scottie Scheffler's clubs: New driver earns second win and FedEx Cup title

Scottie Scheffler's outstanding performance at the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta has resulted in a significant milestone. With a score of 16-under, Scheffler secured his third PGA Tour win this year and surpassed the earnings of Tiger Woods, becoming the Tour's all-time earnings leader. The golfer's career earnings from the PGA Tour stand at $130,390,661 at present.

Just $608,505 behind Woods, Scheffler overtook Rory McIlroy at the No. 2 spot two weeks ago when he triumphed in the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis. This victory marked the first of three playoff events that eventually concluded with the Tour Championship. However, Scheffler didn't manage to surpass Woods on the money list at the BMW Championship in St. Louis, where he tied for 12th place after shooting 7-under.

Standing at 15-under, Norwegian Viktor Hovland secured second place, earning $5 million. Hovland started the final day at 15-under, followed by Ryan Gerard and Scheffler, who were three strokes behind. The final day witnessed a surge by Scheffler, who hit six birdies, overtaking Hovland and Gerard. Despite maintaining his position as the world's top-ranked golfer, Scheffler faced a significant gap in wins, over half a year without a PGA Tour victory between his January win at The American Express and his latest triumph.

This year, Scheffler has finished in the top five 13 times and earned more than $30 million on the PGA Tour. Furthermore, he secured $23 million in FedExCup bonus money for leading the Tour following the BMW Championship. However, this bonus money is not considered as part of his career earnings. Over the past five consecutive seasons, Scheffler has led the Tour in prize money.
