Congress Leader Alka Lamba Claims Burglars Stole Family Savings From Her Father’s Delhi Home

Congress leader Alka Lamba has alleged that three burglars broke into her father's home in Delhi's Tagore Garden early morning and stole all the family savings. Sharing the details on X, Lamba reported that the incident occurred around 3 AM at her father's residence in C Block, Tagore Garden. According to her, three masked men entered the house around 6:15 AM, ransacked the place within ten minutes, and fled on a single bicycle.

The aftermath of the heist has left a climate of fear throughout the neighborhood, with the police struggling to trace the culprits. The Congress leader also questioned the law-and-order situation in the national capital, suggesting that criminals no longer fear the law. Though saddened by the theft, Lamba expressed relief that her elderly father was unharmed.

The alleged incident has added to the ongoing political discourse over law and order and public safety in Delhi. Alka Lamba, a prominent Congress leader and president of All India Mahila Congress, began her political career with the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and later served as its national president. She switched to the Aam Aadmi Party and won the Chandni Chowk Assembly seat in 2015 but returned to the Congress in 2019 due to differences with the party leadership.
