Apa juga strategi PRN Melaka, PH perlu perkemas jentera, kata pemimpin Amanah

PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan (PH) must bolster its youth contingent regardless of the strategy chosen to confront the PRN Melaka, according to Setiausaha Agung Amanah Faiz Fadzil. The initial crucial provision is to prevent the youth deficit, which he believes contributed to PH's losses in PRN Johor and Negeri Sembilan. Faiz informed FMT that the decision on whether PH will cooperate with other parties or contest independently has yet to be finalized by the PH Presidential Council.

The PH leader acknowledged that any strategy must be prepared with the youth contingent in mind. Amanah also stated readiness to face various possibilities, including a BN-PN coalition, if that becomes the decision. The context of PH's prospects in Melaka arises as Umno's political dynamics and PAS's leadership re-emerge amid speculation on possible cooperation arrangements leading up to the PRN Melaka.

Umno's candidate nomination to PAS leaders for the PAU in 2026 has prompted a response from Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, who noted the request as a reaction to PAS's invitation for Umno leaders to attend the PAU. The PH Election Officer Amirudin Shari said he is waiting for the readiness of Melaka BN Secretary Ab Rauf Yusoh to initiate formal talks regarding political cooperation in the state.

However, the chief minister of Melaka has stated his preference to wait for fundamental decisions from the top leadership of Umno and BN before commencing further discussions. Currently, BN holds 21 out of 28 DUN seats in Melaka, while PH controls five seats and two by PN.
