Apa juga strategi PRN Melaka, PH perlu perkemas jentera, kata pemimpin Amanah

Pakatan Harapan (PH) must bolster its youth supporters now, regardless of the strategy chosen to face the Malacca Primary Vote Count (PRN) Melaka, said Amanah Deputy Chairman Faiz Fadzil. The initial step is to address the weakness in PH's youth forces, which were a key factor in their defeats in the PRN Johor and Negeri Sembilan elections, Fadzil told FMT. The decision on whether PH will form alliances with other parties or contest alone remains undecided by the PH Presidential Council.

Amanah also stands ready for any possibility, including a possible merger with Barisan Nasional (BN) or Perikatan Nasional (PN), should that be the chosen path. Faiz also addressed PH's prospects in Malacca as Umno and PAS' political relation becomes a focus again, following Umno's request for PAS leaders to attend the upcoming Umno Supreme Council (PAU) meeting.

However, their efforts may face challenges as BN has expressed readiness to negotiate with all parties, a move that came in response to PAS' call for Umno leaders to attend the PAU meeting.

PH Malacca's Electoral Commissioner Amirudin Shari says he is waiting for the BN Malacca chairman Ab Rauf Yusoh to initiate formal discussions on political cooperation in the state. However, the state's Chief Minister is waiting for the final decision from the top leadership of Umno and BN before initiating further talks. Currently, BN holds 21 out of 28 DUN Malacca seats, while PH holds five and two by PN.
