Amirudin says Pakatan prepared for all scenarios, including solo Melaka fight if BN deal fails

Pakatan Harapan (PH) is always prepared for any outcome in the Melaka state election, ready to contest independently if talks with Barisan Nasional (BN) to cooperate fail, according to PH election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. However, Amirudin stressed that ample time should be afforded to the party leadership to evaluate the most suitable strategic path before a final decision is made.

"There is still time, so let's wait and see how things develop. I am not in a position to make the decision," Amirudin explained, emphasizing that he had merely been approached to discuss the matter. Should no one be available for dialogue, PH would still proceed forward. The conversation followed remarks by Melaka PKR state leadership council (MPN) acting chairman Adam Adli Abdul Halim, who had previously indicated the prospect of PH contesting on its own if BN negotiations fell through.

Amirudin, who is also Selangor Menteri Besar, commented on the ever-changing political climate, asserting that each party maintains the flexibility to choose their approach in engaging with voters. "As a political party, elections are our main business, and we will participate through various methods that can be considered," Amirudin stated.
