Seattle’s Myers misses field goal on final play and Seahawks play to 9-9 tie with Chiefs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — In a preseason game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Kansas City Chiefs, Jason Myers of the Seahawks missed a 52-yard field goal as time expired, resulting in a 9-9 tie. Both teams had rookie third-string quarterbacks in the game. Seattle's Jalen Milroe completed 16 of 26 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown, while Kansas City's Garrett Nussmeier finished 22 of 34 for 198 yards with an interception.

Neither team featured their starting quarterbacks during the preseason. Chicago's Patrick Mahomes is currently recovering from a left knee surgery he underwent last December. The top running backs for both teams, Kenneth Walker III for the Chiefs and Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price for the Seahawks, had minimal involvement in the game.
