The Seattle Seahawks have been questioned about kicker Jason Myers' performance as the season kicks off. Despite Myers' five successful field goals in Super Bowl 60 earlier this year, preseason form has raised concerns among Seahawks fans. In the preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs, Myers missed a crucial 52-yard field goal attempt in the final play, despite Jalen Milroe's impressive performance leading Seattle to the game's decisive play.

The missed field goal was not Myers' only issue, as he also missed an extra point in two consecutive games, along with two other missed field goals. All four misses were to the right of the upright. Myers, however, remains optimistic and says he is continuing to work on his game, watching film, and addressing any issues. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald expressed confidence in Myers, stating that the team trusts "J-My," and hopes to provide him with better kicking opportunities in the regular season opener against the New England Patriots in 12 days.
