Palestinian Foreign Ministry urges global action over Israeli actions in West Bank

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has strongly criticized Israel's actions in the West Bank, particularly in the village of Al-Mughayyir. The ministry called for urgent international measures to protect Palestinians from the escalating violence. They denounced the imposition of a blockade on the village for nearly 20 days, preventing ambulances from reaching the area and targeting Palestinians indiscriminately.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the escalation is part of a broader policy aimed at undermining the Palestinian presence in the village and creating a climate of terror and displacement. The ministry warned that the continued fueling of extremism, racism, and terrorism, along with arming and protecting settlers, poses a dangerous escalation that could spiral out of control.

They urged the international community to take concrete and deterrent steps proportional to the gravity of the ongoing crimes in the West Bank. This includes providing international protection for Palestinians, activating international legal jurisdiction to prosecute those responsible, and working towards ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.

The ministry emphasized the importance of the Palestinian right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
