Najran University wins first place at 2025 International Student Research Competition

Najran University emerged victorious in the 2025 International Student Research Competition, clinching first place with their innovative King Fahd Mosque green development project. Represented by the College of Engineering, the University's team secured top honors at the competition, which was held as part of the Second International Conference on Resilient Futures and organized by Jos University in Nigeria.

The College of Engineering students were awarded for their groundbreaking research project titled "Transforming King Fahd Mosque in Najran into a Green and Sustainable Mosque." The project centered on integrating green architecture and sustainability principles to improve the mosque's development and resource efficiency.

Project supervisors emphasized that the research showcased Najran University students' capability to develop solutions specifically suited to their local environment while adhering to global trends in sustainable architecture. Conference organizers commended the students' efforts and underscored the project's exceptional success in bridging scientific innovation with environmental and community needs.
