Maresca salutes ‘unbelievable’ Cherki after Man City star sinks Palace
Enzo Maresca praised Rayan Cherki's "unbelievable" performance in Manchester City's 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Cherki had been left out of the starting lineup in the previous match but came on as a substitute to provide assists and score a brace in his first start under Maresca. The France midfielder worked hard to control Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton, according to Maresca.
Cherki acknowledged his performance could be better but expressed his desire to play more and score. He is eager to become a key figure under Maresca, who emphasized the team's strong start and Haaland's importance for their championship push.
