Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) will send a delegation to attend Trade Expo Indonesia 2026 in Jakarta from October 14. Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya spoke about the importance of preferential trade arrangements between Pakistan and Indonesia during a meeting with Indonesian Consul-General Mudzakir M.A. Chhaya highlighted the need for a comprehensive economic partnership agreement, noting that Indonesia was one of Pakistan's largest and most active industrial zones.

More than 1,600 exhibitors from 130 countries are set to participate in the expo. KATI Deputy Patron-in-Chief emphasized the potential for expanding bilateral trade, particularly in sectors such as textiles, garments, leather, engineering products, pharmaceuticals, halal food, palm oil, and agricultural products. Indonesia currently imports approximately $3.44 billion worth of products from Pakistan, with palm oil being a significant component.

Pakistani exports to Indonesia amount to around $621 million. To strengthen economic ties, KATI President Muhammad Ikram Rajput proposed establishing a dedicated "Indonesia Desk" at KATI to facilitate investment opportunities and business prospects in Pakistan.
