Islamabad Begins Action Against Illegal Indoor Shisha Cafés

Islamabad’s district administration has initiated a citywide operation targeting illegal indoor shisha cafés, following the sealing of three such establishments in the Civic Centre area. Assistant Commissioner Rural Fahad Cheema spearheaded the operation at Civic Centre, where officials closed three indoor shisha cafés for operating illegally.

This action is part of a larger enforcement drive aimed at businesses that operate without necessary legal permissions. The administration has instructed field officers to carry out inspections across all parts of Islamabad, with an equal focus on every locality. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has directed enforcement teams to identify and penalize illegal indoor shisha cafés, irrespective of their location.

Officials revealed that inspection teams will continue their visits to commercial centers and other regions in the forthcoming days. Businesses found in violation of regulations may face sealing and other penalties as stipulated by the applicable laws. The administration emphasized that the operation is aimed at ensuring that commercial establishments comply with government regulations and operate within the legal framework.
