Infosys Public Services CEO Lax Gopisetty ‘unreachable’ after deadly Nepal floods

Infrastrukturfirma Infosys reported on Friday that its subsidiary, Infosys Public Services, could not reach their CEO Lax Gopisetty in the wake of the devastating floods in Nepal. The public sector-focused IT services company, based in Bengaluru, stated that Gopisetty was touring the region at his own discretion. The company's top priority is to ensure his safety and well-being.

Infosys is actively collaborating with relevant authorities to establish contact with Gopisetty. The IT giant remains in constant contact with his family and is offering all necessary support during this trying period. Infosys expressed deep sorrow over the tragic floods in Nepal, which have resulted in at least 320 Indians going missing and 400 others stranded across the border in China.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed that 153 Indian nationals stranded in China have already been safely transported to Nepal. Gopisetty, according to his profile on the Infosys website, advises public sector organizations on strategy, technology, operations, and transformation to support agencies' missions. He oversees company strategy and execution to deliver purposeful objectives.

Before joining Infosys, Gopisetty served as Global Vice President and Head of Business Applications and Digital Workspace Service at the company. He was previously a Managing Director at Accenture, leading a health and public services segment in North America.
