BOYNEXTDOOR's Sungho named new host of 'Show! Music Core'

BOYNEXTDOOR member Sungho has been appointed as the new host for MBC's weekly K-pop music program, Show! Music Core. The position became available after ZEROBASEONE's Kim Gyuvin and TWS Dohoon resigned following their 17-month tenure as hosts, which concluded with the August 22 broadcast. Sungho will join another new host, whose identity remains to be revealed, for the upcoming episodes.

Sungho made his debut as a member of BOYNEXTDOOR in May 2023 and has since been actively involved with the six-member boy group. The group has garnered attention with hits like "If I Say, I Love You" and "Hollywood Action," and released their first full-length album, HOME, in June. BOYNEXTDOOR is scheduled to return on September 28 with a repackage of their debut studio album.

This appointment marks the latest in a series of hosting roles for BOYNEXTDOOR members. Prior to Sungho, fellow member Jaehyun hosted Mnet's M Countdown, while Woonhak served as a host on SBS's Inkigayo. Now, attention is on Sungho's ability to maintain the group's trend of participating in music show hosting projects, drawing upon his consistent presenting skills and friendly demeanor.
