BOYNEXTDOOR's Sungho named new host of 'Show! Music Core'

BOYNEXTDOOR member Sungho has been appointed as the new host for MBC's popular K-pop music show, Show! Music Core. This position became available after ZEROBASEONE's Kim Gyuvin and TWS's Dohoon stepped down from their 17-month tenure as hosts. Sungho will join the show alongside an unannounced new co-host.

Sungho, who debuted as a member of BOYNEXTDOOR in May 2023, has been actively involved with the six-member boy group. The group has gained considerable popularity with hits like "If I Say, I Love You" and "Hollywood Action," and released their first full-length album, HOME, in June. BOYNEXTDOOR is scheduled to return on September 28 with a re-released version of their debut studio album.

This move marks Sungho's latest hosting role for a major Korean music program. His previous hosting experience includes Mnet's M Countdown, where fellow BOYNEXTDOOR member Jaehyun served as host, and SBS's Inkigayo, where Woonhak previously held the position. The focus now lies on whether Sungho can maintain the group's ongoing success in hosting music shows, relying on his established presenting skills and approachable personality.
