Will call for bandh in Bengaluru: Private transport operators

The Federation of Private Transport Organisations staged a protest against taxi aggregators and other concerns of private transport operators in Bengaluru on Friday. They submitted a complaint to the Transport Commissioner, demanding restrictions on taxi apps in app stores, a "One City, One Fare" system, and criminal action against unlicensed companies.

Federation president Nataraj Sharma has given the government a 15-day deadline to address their demands. If no action is taken, Sharma said a Bengaluru bandh will be called, with private transport operators displaying black flags on their vehicles.
