'We don't know what's going on': Family of Singaporeans missing in Nepal-Tibet disaster pleads for answers

Nine Singaporeans are among more than 1,000 people missing after flash floods struck the Nepal-Tibet border. Family members of the affected Singaporeans are pleading for more information, stating they have received no updates from authorities on rescue efforts. Ms Kenisha Rawla and Ms Parnika Rawla, whose parents Shubakshi Rawla and Sumit Rawla are among the missing, have been unable to get any updates since their parents last spoke with them via FaceTime on Wednesday morning.

The family has not received any information about the fate of their loved ones or the status of the hotel they were staying at, Hotel Kailash in Timure, Nepal. Ms Parnika Rawla expressed her frustration, saying they are confused and desperate for answers, while Ms Kenisha Rawla's sister, Dipti Bhatnagar, has appealed for more resources to be deployed for rescue operations, urging the government to deploy personnel and utilize technology like those provided by companies such as Apple to aid in locating the missing tourists.

The Singaporeans are among those reported missing by Nepali authorities, with their names included in the list of 668 tourists reported missing as of Thursday afternoon.
