[UPDATED] Police probe if Desa ParkCity murder victim met love scammer

Police are probing whether the woman, 47, and her two children, ages nine and seven, who were found dead in Desa ParkCity had any connection to an alleged love scammer responsible for the family's RM260,000 financial losses. The police chief, Datuk Fadil Marsus, stated that investigators are exploring the duration of the alleged relationship between the woman and the scammer, as well as whether the two had met in person.

It was revealed that the husband had left a note before his death, expressing distress over his wife's alleged involvement with the scammer, which allegedly led to financial setbacks totaling RM260,000. The wife is reported to have continued reaching out to the scammer, a move her husband found excessive. The woman and children were discovered in separate rooms of their home, and police have recovered a knife and gloves from the master bedroom, believed to be linked to the killings. The incident is being treated as a murder case.
