The missing in Nepal glacier collapse

A glacier in Nepal collapsed, resulting in over 1,300 people being reported missing and more than 362 confirmed dead. The victims included hikers, climbers from around the world, and Hindu pilgrims who come to the Himalayan nation to test their limits on the world's highest peaks. The figures may change due to double-counting of dual nationals, matching bodies with missing persons, and the chaos of a disaster.

As of now, 823 people are unaccounted for, with at least 517 foreigners. The Nepal Tourism Board estimates 667 missing tourists and travelers, including 127 Nepali visitors. China reported 558 people missing, including 260 foreigners. Nepal's tourism board reported 178 people from India missing, with 11 rescued. US citizens have a dramatically increased number of missing individuals, with 65 missing and 2 rescued.

Ukrainian officials cited 55 Ukrainian nationals as missing, while the Nepal Tourism Board reported 53. Malaysia has 51 missing individuals, while Australia has 35 and the United Kingdom has 33. South Korea reported 9 hydropower workers missing, with 4 rescued. Singapore has 8 missing citizens, Germany has 8, Russia has 2 (1 rescued), and South Africa has 6.

Latvia has 6 missing, while France has 5. Spain has 4 missing, Hungary has 3 (1 rescued), Portugal has 2 (3 reported), Italy has 2 (2 rescued), Sweden has 1 (2 reported), and a second Swedish resident with an unidentified nationality is also missing.
