Russian drone strike injures two women in Zaporizhzhya residential sector

Russian drone strikes have targeted a residential area in Zaporizhzhya, injuring two women, according to the Head of the Zaporizhzhya Oblast Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov. The attacks occurred late on August 27, causing damage to single-family homes in the city's private residential sector. Emergency medical assistance is being provided to the injured victims.

On August 25, the Russian occupation forces utilized strike drones and guided aerial bombs (KABs) in an attack on Zaporizhzhya. This assault resulted in the damage of a multi-story residential building, non-residential facilities, ignited structural fires, and claimed at least two lives. On August 23, Russian forces targeted a shopping mall in Zaporizhzhya, injuring a 49-year-old civilian man.

On August 21, Russian military launched two separate strikes, critical injuring at least three civilians as they were in passenger minibuses. Fedorov reported that during the first incident, an enemy drone penetrated the roof of a minibus, shattering all its windows, yet no passengers were harmed. Fedorov later shared video footage showing a drone hitting a transit van at a busy intersection just as passengers were boarding.
