Ruling party pledges close coordination with gov't on key policy tasks

The ruling Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) pledged on Friday to collaborate closely with the government and the presidential office on crucial policy matters, as they prepared for the upcoming parliamentary session. Kim Min-seok, a former prime minister and a trusted advisor to President Lee Jae Myung, recently took the reins as the party's leader.

During a lawmakers' workshop in Incheon, west of Seoul, the DPK adopted a resolution that outlined their commitment to swiftly passing bills related to livelihoods, the budget, judicial and election system reforms, all aimed at achieving significant reforms for the well-being of the populace. Furthermore, they vowed to support the government's three megaproject initiative, focusing on advancing the AI industry and related fields like physical AI.

The DPK lawmakers assured that they would work as a united team with the government and the presidential office, dedicating their full efforts to pass legislation on key national policy tasks and ensuring a remarkable leap forward for South Korea, as promised to the people.
