Ruang damai PAS-Bersatu dah tertutup, kata Hadi

PAS has officially ended its relationship with Bersatu since June last year, according to Hadi Awang. The PAS president considers the space for harmony with Bersatu closed in light of the party's contestation against Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the PRN Negeri Sembilan on August 1 last year. He stated that the Bersatu leader has also made an open declaration to collaborate with Pakatan Harapan (PH) ahead of PRN Melaka.

"Yes, fundamentally, they (Bersatu) are our opponents in PRN Negeri Sembilan. And there is a statement to join together with PH," he said, according to Utusan Malaysia. The Marang MP was found after delivering a religious lecture at Masjid Rusila in Terengganu today. PAS and Bersatu are currently still aligned within PN. In June 8 last year, PAS decided to terminate its ties with Bersatu after reviewing the status and direction of political cooperation between the two parties based on the report, analysis, and evaluation during that period.

Bersatu's president, Muhyiddin Yassin, subsequently claimed that PN has now become toxic and lost its way under PAS's leadership. In the PRN Negeri Sembilan, Bersatu, which contested under its own logo, suffered a major defeat, yet PN managed to win seven seats before forming a government with the Barisan Nasional.
