Police shut Rivers hotel after man’s death

A tragic incident unfolded at a hotel in Eagle Island Estate, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Thursday morning, leaving the community in shock. Young man, Charles, met an untimely death under suspicious circumstances, prompting a chaotic scene and a subsequent shutdown of the hotel. Family members and friends of the deceased were visibly distressed upon learning of his demise, demanding answers from the hotel management.

Despite the police intervention and intervention of the Azikiwe Police Division, the family remained determined to obtain the CCTV footage to ascertain the truth. According to the deceased's elder brother, Obomate, they were initially informed of Charles' death around 5 am on Thursday.
