Every leader must leave a lasting legacy – Gomoa Fetteh Chief

In a recent interview, Nana Abor Atta II, the Chief of Gomoa Fetteh and Twafohen Traditional Area, emphasized the crucial role that leaders play in leaving behind a lasting legacy for their communities. Speaking on "Behind The Lens with Queen Liz," Nana Abor Atta II discussed his tenure as traditional leader and the history of the Gomoa Fetteh Festival, which took place in Ghana’s Central Region.

The Gomoa Fetteh Festival, celebrated with vibrant displays of the area’s culture, customs, and traditions, was highlighted by the Chief as a testament to the importance of traditional institutions in preserving cultural heritage and driving development. Nana Abor Atta II, who was installed as Chief on October 16, 2019, also shed light on the responsibilities of traditional leaders, which include promoting peace and unity, safeguarding local customs, and supporting projects that enhance the lives of their constituents.

Since taking the stool, the Chief has spearheaded various community development initiatives, such as the construction of polyclinics, durbar grounds, and an ultra-modern astroturf. The interview further delved into the significance of festivals in uniting communities, bolstering cultural identity, and mobilizing support for development across Ghana and beyond.
