Confirmed: India to get US-made Javelin anti-tank missiles

India has finalized an agreement to acquire the Javelin anti-tank guided missile system from the United States, according to a Letter of Offer and Acceptance signed by the Indian Army on Friday. This marks another significant military procurement from the US, reflecting the enduring partnership between the American and Indian militaries.

The US welcomed the Army's decision, stating that the milestone demonstrates the deepening defense relationship between the two countries. US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, emphasized that the agreement reflects a defense partnership that is growing deeper, more capable, and more consequential. He also highlighted the potential for future collaboration, including co-production opportunities, to strengthen the defense industrial bases of both nations.
