Stunting prevention must begin since pregnancy : Deputy Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on a four-day visit to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, commencing on August 29 and concluding on September 1. The Ministry of External Affairs announced that the Prime Minister will pay a state visit to Tashkent on August 29-30, marking his fourth trip to Uzbekistan. During this visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold delegation-level talks with Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, focusing on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.

Both leaders will review cooperation in various domains such as trade and investment, defense, digital connectivity, energy, education, and people-to-people exchanges. They aim to set the agenda for future collaboration, aligning their shared developmental visions of Viksit Bharat 2047 and Uzbekistan-2030.

Upon returning from Uzbekistan, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Kyrgyzstan to participate in the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, commencing on August 31 and concluding on September 1. This summit marks the 25th anniversary of the SCO, of which India became a full member in 2017. Modi will address the summit, emphasizing India's priorities of security, connectivity, and opportunity at the forum.

He will also hold bilateral meetings with SCO leaders during the event and attend the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games, a celebration of Central Asia's rich cultural heritage.
