Collector inspects Urban PHC in A.P.’s Chittoor district

On Thursday, August 27, 2026, District Collector Sumit Kumar inspected the Sanjeevani Urban Primary Health Centre located in Prashanth Nagar, Chittoor district. During the surprise visit, Collector Kumar evaluated the facilities and services offered at the health centre, including patient registration, medicine availability, medical staff attendance, laboratory services, Digital Nerve Centre (DNC) facilities, and sanitation.

He directed the health officials to ensure prompt and quality treatment, maintain sufficient stocks of essential medicines, and provide a seamless experience for patients, avoiding any inconvenience. Kumar reviewed the usage of ₹1.5 lakh sanctioned for the urban health centre and requested detailed information on the expenditure.

The Collector emphasized the importance of regular monitoring of healthcare services and maintaining cleanliness at the premises. He encouraged residents to create an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID for managing and linking their digital health records. Patients could benefit from appointments for easier access to doctors, while Patient Care Coordinators would be available to assist them at every stage.
