Police find no evidence stress contributed to Hulu Selangor teacher’s death

Shah Alam, August 27 — The police's inquiry into the demise of a female educator at a school in Hulu Selangor has thus far failed to uncover any evidence suggesting that stress played a role in the victim's death. Datuk Shazeli Kahar, the police chief of Selangor, disclosed that a comprehensive investigation, encompassing recorded statements from various individuals such as family members, colleagues, and students, revealed that the victim had been in optimal health prior to the incident.

"Records have been gathered from family members, colleagues, and students, yet they did not substantiate or substantiate any element of stress, as purported, as she seemed to be thriving," Shazeli stated during a press conference at Selangor's police headquarters (IPK) in the capital. The police are currently treating the case as a sudden death report (SDR) and are endeavoring to collect additional statements before forwarding the investigation papers to the Deputy Public Prosecutor, along with suggestions for subsequent actions.

Shazeli noted that the female teacher had been employed as an educator for many years but had only recently transferred to and served at the school for under a year. Furthermore, the police have yet to pinpoint any leads or personal issues connected to the victim's passing. On July 30, a female teacher was discovered unconscious at an educational institution in the Hulu Selangor district and subsequently declared dead while receiving medical care at Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital.
