Dubai, UAE – Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, emphasized the importance of credible and balanced media coverage in safeguarding the truth from misinformation, especially during a sensitive period for the region. In a recent post on the X platform, Gargash highlighted that media plays a crucial role during times of heightened regional tension and that competing narratives are an integral part of the balance of conflict.

Gargash stressed that credibility and balance remain essential professional and ethical requirements, without being naive or equating parties that do not adhere to the same standards. He stressed the need for accurate and fair media that comprehends the environment of confrontation, protects truth from misinformation and manipulation, and preserves public awareness.

The diplomat reiterated his repeated calls for the importance of credible media and factual reporting in countering misinformation and misleading narratives, particularly during periods of regional tension. Gargash dismissed allegations of residency visa cancellations and Iran's financial aid claims as false. He further advocated for an end to the region's "no war, no peace" impasse and advocated for the Gulf unity in addressing regional challenges.
