OKU antara 2 mengaku tak salah lumba haram di Linkedua

During an incident on Lebuhraya Linkedua in Gelang Patah on the evening of August 22, two motorcyclists were accused of riding recklessly endangering other road users. Out of the nine suspects involved, two made their pleas not guilty before the Kulai High Court. The accused, Mohamad Riduan Abd Ghani, 26, and Muhamad Aiman Izzuddin Sukri, 25, were both charged under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

A maximum penalty of five years' imprisonment, a RM15,000 fine and loss of driving license eligibility could be imposed if found guilty. The court accepted their request for a reduced bond from RM5,000 each, to be paid by a surety. The case was rescheduled to be heard on October 5. Meanwhile, the Kulai Police Chief, Tan Seng Lee, confirmed that nine other suspects, including motorbike enthusiasts who blocked the road for the illegal race, were released on police bond on Sunday and Monday.

Additionally, eight individuals, including two more motorbike enthusiasts, were arrested on Monday and Tuesday for allegedly obstructing the road during the illegal race.
