Nepal floods: King directs Wisma Putra to assist affected Malaysians

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty King Ibrahim has instructed Wisma Putra to provide vital support to Malaysians impacted by the catastrophic floods in Rasuwa, Nepal. A recent update on the King's official Facebook page revealed that the monarch directed that immediate information about the affected individuals' safety and location be shared with their families. Expressing his distress, His Majesty also urged Wisma Putra to ensure families are kept informed about the welfare of the affected Malaysians.

The King's prayers were for the successful execution of rescue and evacuation operations. King Ibrahim and Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah, Malaysia's ruling couple, expressed their profound concern and prayers for the safety of all those affected. They fervently wished for the smooth resolution of the situation, as stated in their official post.

Wisma Putra issued a statement today, revealing that more than 50 Malaysian tourists in Nepal remain uncontactable following the floods on Wednesday, which left numerous foreigners and locals missing.
