Nepal flash floods aftermath | Hoping against hope survivors are there: Isha Foundation coordinator

In the aftermath of Nepal's flash floods, Isha Foundation volunteers have mobilized to assist in rescue efforts. While some yatra participants awaiting instructions to return home are in Kathmandu, those who have completed the sacred walk are waiting for a border exit route to open. Coordinator Maa Gambhiri of the Isha Foundation confirmed that 21 groups embarked on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, with about 495 people having successfully completed the journey and returned home.

However, 743 people remain at various stages in Tibet, and 77 individuals are unaccounted for in Rasuwa district near the Tibet border. Additionally, 148 people are currently in Kathmandu, awaiting the start of their yatra, while three stationed volunteers are also missing, presumed to have been swept away in the village that was destroyed.

Sadhguru, the leader of the rescue operation, expressed concern over the scale of destruction, stating that they had appealed to the Chinese embassy in hopes of locating survivors.
