Mamelodi Sundowns' coach Miguel Cardoso has urged the Masandawana to stand by the team as they navigate early-season difficulties and recent player departures. The Bafana Bafana side secured an impressive 5-2 victory over AmaZulu at Loftus Versfeld on Wednesday, marking their unbeaten start to the Betway Premiership.

Cardoso urged supporters to back his transition squad, emphasizing patience despite persistent defensive struggles. Since the season began, the team has conceded eight goals, including a 1-0 loss to Golden Arrows in the MTN8 semi-final first leg. This result will need to be rectified in the return leg on Sunday at 3pm in Durban.

After the win in the nation's capital, Cardoso expressed satisfaction with the result, though he lamented their defensive record, which has resulted in only one clean sheet so far.
