Max Miller Just Suggested He Has Dirt on Bernie Moreno

On Wednesday, a tense atmosphere gripped the Cuyahoga County family court in Cleveland as key figures in a high-profile custody battle gathered for a hearing. The case centers around Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio) and his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, who are embroiled in a dispute over their two-year-old daughter. The allegations against Miller, who vehemently denies them, include physical abuse such as holding a gun to his ex-wife's head, shoving her against a wall, and dousing her with scalding water.

Despite these claims and pressure from Republican senators—including his father-in-law—to step down, Miller is running for reelection and has vowed to remain in the race; the deadline to replace him on the ballot had already passed. Abby Vesoulis, a Mother Jones reporter, gained access to question Miller directly, following her extensive coverage of the case involving over 2,000 pages of court and police records.

Miller's initial reluctance to speak to the press after the hearing was brief, but when he did, he took the opportunity to deliver what appeared to be a veiled threat toward Sen. Bernie Moreno. "There are certain things that he would like me to remain quiet about,” he told Vesoulis. "I was a part of that family for a very long time.

I respectfully have… because that’s not my business to share. But it’s politically motivated." His legal team then escalated the allegations, asserting that Sen. Moreno harbors animosity against Miller, aiming to "destroy Max," and only surfaced to attack him once reporters began questioning the reasoning behind Miller's silence on his daughter's allegations. The lawyer further contended that Sen. Moreno's motives were politically driven.
