Marco Bezzecchi warns of more ‘suffering’ at Aragon as knee injury persists

Marco Bezzecchi emerged victorious in Practice for the Aragon Grand Prix, setting a new all-time track record with a time of 1 minute and 45.455 seconds. The Factory Aprilia rider surpassed the pre-weekend favorite, Marc Marquez, who finished in second place with a time of 1 minute and 45.909 seconds. Alex Marquez, brother of Marc Marquez, claimed the third position, shaving just 0.010 seconds off his brother's time.

The pace in the first stages of the session was quick, with KTM’s Pedro Acosta breaking into the 1 minute and 46 seconds bracket within the first 10 minutes. Despite attempts from Marquez to maintain his lead, Bezzecchi managed to pull away with a blistering performance. The reigning world champion was eventually displaced from the top spot in the last 15 minutes of the session, as Fermin Aldeguer set a time of 1 minute and 45.909 seconds on the Gresini Ducati.

Late improvements saw Raul Fernandez of Trackhouse take sixth place, just 0.038 seconds behind Jorge Martin of Factory Aprilia. Johann Zarco, returning to MotoGP after a three-month injury-induced layoff, secured a remarkable ninth-place finish, breaking into the top 10 on his final lap. Marquez's struggles continued as he finished 13th, followed closely by Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.

Jack Miller was the only rider to suffer a crash during the session, resulting in a 19th-place finish on the Pramac Yamaha.
