Man City keen on Ndiaye - could that ease Grealish's Everton return?

Manchester City have shown interest in signing Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, despite the player rejecting multiple contract offers on Merseyside. The 26-year-old Senegal international was also targeted by Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, but Ndiaye ultimately decided against the move. Manchester City, under new manager Enzo Maresca, are not under pressure to sell Ndiaye, whose contract runs until 2029, and are likely to demand a substantial fee of around £70 million to even entertain a sale.

Jack Grealish, City's English striker, would prefer to return to Everton if he were to leave the club during the current transfer window. Grealish, who made substitute appearances in City's first two games of the season, sustained a season-ending foot injury in January while playing for Everton. The Toffees' chief executive, Angus Kinnear, has confirmed that the club has remained in contact with the player.

Aston Villa is also believed to be interested in re-signing Grealish, but there have been no concrete offers from any club thus far in the summer transfer market.
